Which Products Are Recommended for Maintaining Laminated Brows at Home?

Updated: Jan 6

Hello my beautiful brow babes!

If you just got your brows laminated, I'm SO excited for you. That fluffy, feathery look is absolutely gorgeous. But here's the catch: you need to take care of them properly or they won't last as long as they should.

I've been obsessed with brow lamination for years now, and trust me, I've learned what works and what doesn't. So let me share my favorite products that will keep your laminated brows looking fresh for weeks.

The Essential Products You Need

1. A Good Brow Brush

A clean spoolie brush is non-negotiable. (You’ll receive one from me.)Not just any brush—but one used exclusively for your brows.

Each morning, gently brush your brows upward and outward in the direction they were set during your lamination. This helps maintain the lifted, structured look and keeps your brows looking fresh and intentional.

Clean, simple, effective.

2. Brow Oil, Keratin aftercare or Serum

This is huge. Your brows went through a chemical process, so they need extra love. Use a nourishing oil at night. Get a good keratin aftercare that you can use for your brows and lashes or any brow growth serum.  A high-quality brow oil, keratin aftercare, or brow/lash serum helps:

  • Keep brow hairs soft and flexible

  • Prevent dryness or brittleness

  • Support long-term brow health

Apply at night only. Use a tiny amount on a clean spoolie and gently brush through the brows.

Pro tip: When applying your facial moisturizer at night, lightly massage the remaining product into your brow hairs as well.

3. Your hair Conditioner or treatment

This is a little-known secret many clients are surprised by.

If you use a hair conditioner or hair mask, take a very small amount and gently dab to the brow hairs only, ensuring it does not touch the skin underneath. Do this once or twice a week. This simple step helps keep brow hairs soft, hydrated, and flexible, while also supporting the longevity of your brow lamination results. Your brows will feel healthier, smoother, and beautifully conditioned.

3. Clear Brow Gel

During the windy day, you want to lock everything in place. A clear brow gel is perfect for this. It keeps your brows in that perfect fluffy position during windy days.

Look for one that's not too sticky. You want hold, but you also want your brows to still look natural and soft.

4. A Gentle Cleanser

When you wash your face, be gentle around your brows. Use a mild, oil free cleanser. Harsh products or too much rubbing can break down the lamination faster.

Pat dry. Don't rub.

What to Avoid

Here's what NOT to do within 24hrs:

  • Don't get your brows wet for the first 24 hours. No steam rooms, no sweaty workouts, no face washing around that area.

  • Don't touch with your hands.

  • Don't use makeup remover or oils on your brows during those first 24 hours either.

  • Don't sleep face down. I know it's comfortable, but you'll mess up the shape.

  • Don't use retinol or strong acids directly on the waxed area. These can break down the lamination.

My Daily Routine

Morning: Brush brows up with a clean spoolie. Brush with keratin brow conditioner for hydration and the best result.

Night: Apply Keratin brow conditioner or brow oil or serum. Let it soak in while you sleep.

That's it. Super simple. Takes maybe two minutes total.

How Long Will They Last?

With proper care, your laminated brows should look amazing for 6 to 8 weeks. Some people get even longer. It really depends on how well you maintain them and how fast your hair grows.

When can i get it redone?

With proper care, your laminated brows should look amazing for 6 to 8 weeks. You can laminate your brows every 8 weeks.

My Thoughts

Taking care of laminated brows isn't complicated. You just need the right products and a consistent routine. Think of it like getting your hair done. You wouldn't skip conditioner after a salon treatment, right? Same energy here.

Your brows frame your entire face. They deserve a little extra attention. And honestly, when your brows look good, you feel good. It's that simple.

So grab those products, set up your routine, and enjoy your gorgeous fluffy brows for weeks to come!

Have questions about brow care? Drop them in the comments. I love talking about this stuff!
